Welle Erdball - Chaos Total
The CD comes with a Welle: Erdball logo-sticker, a 12-pages booklet with all lyrics and additional info, and a bonus-DVD. After thousands (more or less…) of years of silence, Germany’s most popular NDW (New German Wave) electro act WELLE: ERDBALL returns with what is being announced as their most ‚complete’ and ‚best’ broadcast ever! ‚Chaos Total’ is the first official output after their (Vinyl-only) release ‚Horizonterweiterungen’ and their EP ‚Nur tote Frauen sind schön’ (only dead women are beautiful…)! The name ‚Chaos Total’ reflects very well the contents of this new album. With over 20 new songs and a playing time far beyond 70 minutes, the album is packed with innovations, gimmicks and that particular sense of humour, for which WELLE: ERDBALL are famous for, but that is fully understandable – and enjoyable - for German speaking listeners only. Most songs are – as usual – in German language, although there is at least ONE track with ‚lyrics’ in the morse code and another one with French lyrics: A very ‘unique’ adaption of the France Gall/Serge Gainsbourg – classic ‘Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son’! As always with WELLE: ERDBALL, the legendary Commodore 64-computer plays a prominent role in the creation of the songs, and all tracks have that special ‘NDW’-feeling for which the band is famous for – 80ies revival at its most extreme and minimal! - This special packaging comes with a special ‘shaky image’ cover (oh-so-popular in the 80ies!), a sticker for your car and a bonus DVD with lots of exclusive and never before seen visual material! THE DVD IS PAL FORMAT AND MAY NOT PLAY IN NORTH AMERICAN NTSC PLAYERS.
