Tamarin - Nationalist

tamarin has already made a name for himself with his previously released "fear of an extraordinary life" (fem16) and a 7" entitled "rule the planet" on his own de los siete label. now, tamarin has returned with his official debut cd release, "the nationalist". the sound of tamarin is one that is somewhat hard to define. this versatile artist effectivly combines a number of sonic elements, including unsettling sub-harmonic drones, schizoid rhythmic patterns, glitchlike sequences and strange, spoken sample dialogs. some might compare this sound to powernoise while others may label it as gritty experimental electronics. call it what you will. altogether, "the nationalist" makes for a breathtaking and incredibly interesting listening experience. this release is rounded out by several very diverse remixes by the likes of antigen shift, o2 (mike wells of gridlock), ene, chango feo and army of 23 monkeys. artwork by s.alt. mastering by john sellekaers. tamarin has already made a name for himself with his previously released "fear of an extraordinary life" (fem16) and a 7" entitled "rule the planet" on his own de los siete label. now, tamarin has returned with his official debut cd release, "the nationalist". the sound of tamarin is one that is somewhat hard to define. this versatile artist effectivly combines a number of sonic elements, including unsettling sub-harmonic drones, schizoid rhythmic patterns, glitchlike sequences and strange, spoken sample dialogs. some might compare this sound to powernoise while others may label it as gritty experimental electronics. call it what you will. altogether, "the nationalist" makes for a breathtaking and incredibly interesting listening experience. this release is rounded out by several very diverse remixes by the likes of antigen shift, o2 (mike wells of gridlock), ene, chango feo and army of 23 monkeys. artwork by s.alt. mastering by john sellekaers.
