QNTAL, the name of the band, is an imaginary word that the vocalist SYRAH saw in one of her dreams. The music could likewise have emerged out of a dream. Light and floating, sophisticated and yet free -- powerful compositions that possess an overwhelming magnetism with their spellbinding drama. MICHAEL POPP and founding member ERNST HORN felt at home in classical music and transcended the “black music scene” with DEINE LAKAIEN to become a pop phenomenon that could enchant audiences beyond the rigid diving lines of scene and genre. The two sound experimenters found their perfect match in the form of SYRAH, who is regarded as one of the leading artists in medieval music.
