Factrix - Artifact
One of the earliest instigators of
post-punk, dark, electronic chaos. Using unconventional
instruments and recording techniques, Factrix (sometimes
aided and abetted by Monte Cazazza) combined modified
electronic devices, a drum machine, and an innovative
deployment of guitars and feedback, defying formulas with a
tortured sound that bore little resemblance to anything
else occurring at the time. This remastered retrospective
combs the forgotten origins of industrial music enhanced
with a 24-page booklet containing photographic imagery from
Ruby Ray (Search and Destroy, Re/Search) and a forward by
Michael Moynihan among others.
