E Craft - Unsocial Themes
Anyone who thought old school EBM was dead has been proven wrong for some time. The Electro version of Punk that was born in the mid-80s is experiencing a brilliant revival, as the EBM festivals and parties held everywhere shows. E-Craft are probably the most famous (East) German EBM band and have been representing the original electronic genre for 11 years on a national and international level.
They have now finished recordings on their first all new album since their 2004 "Status" double-CD, a sort of 'Best of with remixes, new songs and live recordings! Entitled "Unsocial Themes", it is a hard-hitting big-time event of noise, distortion and beat amplification for every shady club on Earth.. Brutally forceful sequences, tough lashing sound waves, Noise-Art and lasting melodies form a perfect combination and highlight the beauty of synthetic sounds.
The songs of the new album present ecstatic electronic depths with a raw, confident melodic density and a typical energy-loaded E-Craft style - as can be heard on "Gerichtet" or "Feindfahrt". The lyrics focus on "Unsocial Themes", an E-Craft tradition criticising social injustice, as is particularly clear on the tracks "Revolts Blood" and "Funny Stuff". The calmer tracks such as "Global Killer" are given more room for spherical sequences and include very intricate melodic and spatial arrangements. The album also includes creative instrumental tracks that underline the broad spectrum of the band's arrangements
